• Information submitted by a pumper to the District may be valuable in proving a legal claim to water pumped in the event of later basin adjudication. 
• Any person who fails to register a water-producing facility is guilty of a misdemeanor (Water Code Section 75640). 
• Any person who produces water from an unregistered well in the District is guilty of a misdemeanor (Water Code Section 75641).
